Tamiya 60790 Messerschmitt Bf109 G-6

This Tamiya model is a replica of the Messerschmitt Bf109, the most prolifically manufactured fighter in history. Among its variants, the G-6 was the most numerous, with 13,000 aircraft produced. To counter improving Allied air power, the Bf109 G-6 was equipped with the more powerful DB605 engine and dual 13mm MG131 machine guns that required the distinctive 'Beule' bulges on either side of the cockpit cowling. Some models were also fitted with a 20mm cannon gondola under each wing for added firepower. The Bf109 G-6 saw service on both the Western and Eastern fronts and proved particularly effective against Soviet adversaries, remaining in service until the end of WWII.This 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit features an accurate interior with streamlined assembly, and the cockpit is inserted after the left and right fuselage halves have been put together. The canopy can be assembled in open or closed state, and the landing gear struts have a solid attachment point for precise attachment angle and position. The kit also includes optional drop tank parts and provides two marking options: JG51 (with a distinctive eye marking on the Beule) and JG54.
